“VALUES” are things that are important to us. "CORE VALUES" are ways of being that guide our actions and decision. Everyone has different values, and for each of us they can change over time, based on our experiences. Core values are like a compass, pointing us in the direction we want to go and guiding our every move.
Sometimes it can be hard to come up with the words for what our values are. To help you out, here is a giant list of 40 different CORE VALUES. Scroll through the pages and note which ones are part of YOUR core values.
As you know, Chicago CRED is first and foremost a GUN VIOLENCE PREVENTION program. All participants have a desire to reduce gun violence in their community.
Engaging in gun violence may lead you to COMPROMISE or VIOLATE some values, or lead to a conflict between values.
